The Klean Kanteen bottle comes with either a sippy style lid or sports style kids drink bottle, and you can graduate your child through the stages by starting with the sippy style, then removing the silicone valve inside the lid when the child is ready to make it free flowing, and finally swapping to the sport style lid.

With the Klean Kanteen stainless steel baby bottles we have cut the top off the baby teat when our little one was ready for free flow, so that it is more like a straw style kids drink bottle but still gives the comfort of the feeling of a teat.
